The hotel reserves the right to preauthorise credit cards prior to arrival. It was a hotel used by truckers for overnight stays. Not really a hotel more of a stop over for truck drivers. There was no sign for the Night Owl (onlt NT) so the hotel was very difficult to find when this was pointed out to the receptionist his only comment was "Yes, confusing isn't it?". If we had known this weprobably would not have stopped there despite the very reasonable price.But this is not the fault of the management of the hotel - the advertneeds a title of 'very basic and just a bed for the night. the rooms werejust concrete slab walls and roof/floor. Althoughcleanish, there was dirt in all corners and in draws. We were not prepared for the 'truck stop' motel set up. Alison the night manager was a cracker and kept the pints flowing ! ). Next to M74/M6.Very good place for a one off night during a long trip. Your staff were extremely helpful and polite they made the stay apleasure nothing was too much trouble for them. But no complaints as the bed was comfortable, no traffic noise the shower worked well and the food was good!.
